C & V Partner: Voluntary Arts Ireland
Voluntary Arts Ireland seeks to promote participation in the arts and crafts by supporting the development of the voluntary arts sector. We do this primarily by facilitating the development of a strong infrastructure, strategic thinking and good practice across the sector.
We are an initiative of the Voluntary Arts Network (VAN) which links us to similar bodies in England, Scotland and Wales.
Voluntary Arts Ireland seeks to:
- draw together voluntary arts and crafts groups and their representative bodies
- provide these organisations with information, advice and training
- ensure that their interests are represented to policy makers, funders and politicians
- improve the environment for everyone participating in arts and crafts
Voluntary Arts Ireland celebrates the contribution of participatory arts to the well-being of communities, social inclusion, lifelong learning, active citizenship, volunteering and the arts in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank The Department of the Taoiseach and specifically the Office of Active Citizenship and Minister Pat Carey for sponsoring the use of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham and for opening our awards ceremony tonight.
