Conditions
Conditions for entry:
- Individuals who receive pay in return for services will not be eligible;
- Individuals under the age of 18 must have parental consent to participate;
- Individuals may be nominated by themselves, an organisation, or by friends or family (please be aware that the individual must be notified by nominator);
- A nominee must be linked to one organisation and must enter in only one category per nomination; Organisations will be asked to verify volunteer’s involvement and contribution;
- An individual can be nominated more than once if they are involved in different/ varied forms of voluntary work, but each nomination will be considered independently;
- Being nominated for another volunteer scheme does not exclude an individual from entering the Ireland Involved Awards;
- Nominees must be available from 4 – 6 December 2009 to travel to Strasbourg, France for International Volunteer Day, in the event of being the selected representative from Ireland;
- Nominees must be willing and available to have a 5 minute documentary film made about them and their voluntary contribution at the beginning of November in the event of being the selected representative from Ireland.
