Donal Toolan

Donal is chairman of International Service Ireland (ISI) and a steadfast global disability rights advocate and activist. He has proactively helped connect grassroots disability organisations in Africa and South America with Irish organisations such as the Disability Federation of Ireland and the Centre for Independent Living. Furthermore, Donal has established connections with important global organisations such as the American Association of People with Disabilities and the International Labour Organisation. These connections are vital in order to share experiences and best practices on the ground with potential partners in the field of disability. Being a passionate advocate of the recent UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities, Donal has helped broker important coverage on the issue in both the national print and broadcast media. He is a committed and honest volunteer who is driven to make a real difference in people’s lives.
